G-Dragon expressed his condolences for the late actor Lee Sun Gyun.
On December 28, G-Dragon shared an image on his Instagram story featuring a drawing of a white chrysanthemum against a black backdrop.
The Instagram story depicted a single chrysanthemum, and G-Dragon chose not to include any specific comments. Nevertheless, people interpret the post as a form of condolence following the news of Lee Sun Gyun's passing.
G-Dragon also found himself under investigation by the Incheon Police Narcotics Crime Investigation Division at the same time and place as the late Lee Sun Gyun.
Although this information became public, G-Dragon successfully cleared his name and received a non-prosecution disposition. In contrast, Lee Sun Gyun underwent three summons during the investigation, and his request for a private summons was rejected.
All of Lee Sun Gyun's interrogations were conducted publicly, and he stood in the photo line. It is believed that G-Dragon, having stood in the same photo line himself, strongly empathized with the humiliation Lee Sun Gyun must have felt.
Meanwhile, Lee Sun Gyun was discovered unconscious in a park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, but was later confirmed to have passed away.
In October, Lee Sun Gyun came under scrutiny for alleged violations of the Narcotics Control Act, involving the use of psychotropic drugs and marijuana. Throughout the investigation, he consistently asserted his unawareness of the substance's nature, maintaining that he had unwittingly administered it.
On the day before his death, on the 26th, Lee Sun Gyun, through his lawyer, requested a polygraph test and urged the police to conduct a proper investigation.
As the police delve into the specific circumstances surrounding Lee Sun Gyun's death, they plan to conclude related cases as non-prosecutable.
G-Dragon needs to sue them along with Sun Gyun’s wife. They need to make an example of this horrible investigation, based on a criminal’s word, and hopefully make it where the police don’t do this again.
