On the 11th, RM and V will enter the Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungnam.
Here, after a certain period of basic military training, they will start their military service as active-duty soldiers in the army.

In particular, V is known to have applied for the special mission unit of the Army Capital Defense Command.

On the 5th, their agency Big Hit Music communicated through the fan communication platform Weverse, saying, "There will be no separate official events on the day of joining the recruit training unit." 

They requested fans to refrain from visiting the site to prevent safety accidents due to the congestion. The expected date of discharge for RM and V is June 10, 2025.

On the day before their enlistment, RM and V personally shared their thoughts about enlisting with fans. RM started, "The day has finally come. I had a lot of thoughts swirling in my head, but now that it's here, I find it hard to speak."

He continued, "I was so happy to live as a member of BTS for the past ten years. I've always said this, but the end is also a beginning. I firmly believe that something good awaits us after this."

RM added, "It must have been much harder for Jin and J-hope, who had to endure this time before us. Seeing them handling it so bravely gives us great courage. I believe these 18 months, whether long or short, will be a time of strange and new inspiration and learning for all of us."

Additionally, V, who shared a photo of his short haircut for his enlistment with the caption "D-1", said, 

"It was a fantasy of mine. Shaved head and sunglasses. I've always wanted to try it someday, and I'm glad I did." He also celebrated his enlistment by holding a cake with 'I'll wait' written on it.

Meanwhile, following the enlistment of RM and V on the 12th, Jimin and Jungkook will also enlist together, which means all seven members of BTS will have commenced their military duties.
