Actor Bae Sung Woo is making a return to drama after four years. Following a controversy over drunk driving, Bae, who had returned to the screen through movies, will once again meet the audience in a drama.

On December 12th, Netflix announced the cast for director Han Jae-Rim's first series, 'The Eighth Show'. 'The Eighth Show', an adaptation of the Naver Webtoons 'Money Game' and 'Pai Game', which had garnered attention, revolves around a story where eight individuals are trapped in a secretive space divided into eight floors, participating in a sweet yet dangerous show where 'time accumulates money'.

The cast includes notable actors such as Ryu Joon Yeol, Chun Woo Hee, Park Jung-Min, Lee Yeol-Eum, Park Hae-Joon, Lee Joo-Young, and Moon Jung-Hee. Particularly noteworthy is Bae Sung Woo, who is making his drama comeback with 'The Eighth Show' after four years.

Previously, in November 2020, Sung Woo was charged with drunk driving by the police. At the time, his blood alcohol level was reportedly at the level of license revocation.

At that time, Bae Sung Woo was starring as the main character in the SBS drama 'Fly Dragon'. Due to the drunk driving incident, he had to leave the show midway, causing inconvenience by necessitating a change in the cast.

Bae Sung Woo stated, "I fully acknowledge my wrongdoing without any excuses or justification. I accept all reprimands and deeply regret and reflect on my actions. I also apologize to everyone I work with and will make the utmost effort to prevent any harm."

Following this, he confirmed his role in the movie 'The Unspeakable Secret', which is set to be released next year. Having returned to acting through movies, Bae Sung Woo is now set to appear before the public in 'The Eighth Show', about four years after 'Fly Dragon'.

As 'The Eighth Show' is set to be released worldwide on Netflix next year, there is keen interest in whether Bae Sung Woo will receive positive reviews from the public.
