Red Velvet's Irene has reportedly been injured in an airport mob incident.
The Red Velvet members were on their way to the 'Supersound Festival' in Thailand after their performance on 'Show! Music Core' when a mob of fans and reporters met them at the airport. The girl group was surrounded by hundreds of fans, and all the members struggled to get through the crowd.
Many are saying Irene in particular was bumped around the most, and one video shows her getting pushed from behind. Despite this, Irene is said to have kept her composure and smiled to fans. Wendy also spoke up asking fans in both Korean and English to give them space.
In other clips, Irene can be seen walking slowly and leaning on Seulgi for support, and some fans are alleging Irene injured her foot. She's still said to have taken letters and gifts from fans.
Fans are now waiting on a possible update from SM Entertainment about Irene's condition.
They never learn do they? If you are one of these people, that feel the need to mob idols at airports (which can be dangerous for EVERYBODY), you are sick in the head.

We've been saying for a while that uncontrolled crowd at the airport is going to lead to disaster at some point, they clearly didn't learn any lessons from Itaewon, or don't think somehow that a huge crowd in the confined space of an airport is the same situation. It is.
.
These stars and their fans are at a massive risk of a crushing incident happening because of the uncontrolled crowds surging towards the idols, they're lucky it hasn't happened already.
.
Pity all the other travellers who have nothing to do with the idols, trying to get to their departure gates, or arriving into that mess at the same time.
.
They need to stop treating celebs catching planes as some sort of event, stop publicising their travel arrangements, and start getting them in and out of the airport through the VIP entrances, which are private.
. I hope Irene recovers well, and that she hasn't been too traumatised by this.
