The official added, "The exact number of additional episodes has not been decided yet," and said, "We will put in more effort to enhance the quality of the remaining important scenes in the latter part."
Starring Nam Goong Min and Ahn Eun Jin, 'My Dearest' depicts the story of hope amid the love and hardships of lovers in the midst of the turbulent period of the Qing invasion of Joseon.
Part 1, which consisted of 10 episodes, started with a viewership rating of 5.4% and concluded with 12.2%. Part 2, which began airing on the 13th of last month, started with a viewership rating of 7.7% and has consistently shown an increasing viewership rating with each episode. The most recent episode, the 16th, had a viewership rating of 12.0%.
The 17th episode, originally scheduled to air on November 3, will be broadcast on the 4th due to the broadcast of professional baseball postseason playoffs.
I don’t know what goes behind picking the number of episodes for each drama. But I have watched dramas that got extented and didn’t see a reason to it besides to drag the show. If they planned the drama well and ended it well there would be no need. There are lots of drama in the past few years with bad endings but good ratings, those should have been extended to have a better ending
