Hanni from NewJeans recounted an experience with Seventeen during their visit to Japan in a video titled ‘[About Jeans] Summer in Tokyo’ on their official YouTube channel. While en route to the SUMMER SONIC concert in Tokyo, the NewJeans members shared their enthusiasm.
Hanni recalled, “We participated in a special broadcast for Japan’s NHK, where Seventeen also made an appearance. I had the chance to interview Seventeen’s Woozi and Yoasobi. They shared their past experience at Summer Sonic, where the music in their in-ear monitors was delayed due to intense heat.” He recounted this incident, emphasizing the challenges caused by the extreme weather.
Feeling prepared, Hanni noted, “Knowing about this beforehand is fortunate. It’s something I’ll keep in mind.”
At the concert, NewJeans successfully completed their performance at Summer Sonic and other engagements. Reflecting on his interactions, Hanni said, “I met many people in a short period. I tried using all the Japanese I know, though I’m not certain how well I communicated. I can converse in Korean, but not as comfortably in Japanese. I’m motivated to learn more for better communication in the future.”
Meanwhile, NewJeans successfully performed at the ‘2023 League of Legends Worlds Finals', in Seoul Gochuk Sky dome.
Lol the struggle, still, its getting cold where I am so I miss the heat ☀️ Hanni is smart her Japanese will improve in no time, NewJeans fighting! ♡🐰♡
