Korean netizens react to BTS Jungkook's upcoming '3D' remix amid Justin Timberlake's controversy

AKP STAFF

How are Korean netizens reacting to Jungkook's new collaboration?

On an online forum, netizens are engaged in a discussion surrounding the BTS member's upcoming release of "3D - Justin Timberlake Remix." The recent controversy involving Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears has raised concerns among many netizens, mostly leading to criticism directed at HYBE Labels.

In one notable post, a netizen compiled a list of controversial incidents related to Justin Timberlake, including allegations of his involvement in Britney Spears's abortion and accusations of spreading stories about her for his own promotional purposes on radio shows.

Korean netizens questioned 'why HYBE would allow Jungkook to collaborate with an artist' whose public image has recently 'plummeted.' Many expressed their dissatisfaction with the 'poor timing' and decision-making surrounding this collaboration.

Meanwhile, certain netizens argued that the decision to collaborate might have been made before the controversy emerged and that, on that note, Justin Timberlake has already been collaborating with other singers as well as with the movie 'Trolls Band Together' for the soundtrack.

Additionally, some remarked that "people can boycott quietly anyway, since the fans don't even really listen to the remixes."

Here are more comments from netizens:

"Maybe this collaboration was already in the works before the controversy erupted...?"
"I don't think Jungkook himself should necessarily be embroiled in this in any way"
"Jungkook shouldn't get criticized or be targeted for this at all"
"I really don't understand HYBE's choice of collaborators in the U.S..."
"I really question HYBE. Did they REALLY have to do this??"
"Why is HYBE doing this even when Justin Timberlake himself is flying low right now?"
"What the heck, this timing..."
"Did they have to release this due to some kind of contract?"
"Maybe they are trying to keep this on the down low before Jungkook enters the military"
"The decision-making behind the remixes are usually done on the part of the labels so..."

Jungkook's "3D - Justin Timberlake Remix" is scheduled for release on November 24 at 2 PM KST.

Why so many collabs with Western artists and why with Justin who is a "has been" for years now. Couldn't they have given us better collabs. Imagine IU and JK duet, or JK and Dean.

HYBE usually picks terrible collabs. The fact that fucking Scooter is the CEO of HYBE America tells you enough
