In the wake of G-Dragon's ongoing investigation into drug-related allegations, public curiosity about the star continues to intensify, with interest gathering concerning his possessions, including vehicles, wardrobe, and other belongings.
On November 6, G-Dragon visited the police station in the rear seat of a black BMW 'i7 xDrive 60' vehicle. Before the emergence of his drug allegations, he was appointed an ambassador for BMW's newly launched model, the 'New XM.'
Following the surfacing of the allegations, in what seemed like a precautionary move, BMW Korea set all the promotional videos featuring G-Dragon to private on YouTube. Despite the ongoing speculation of his public separation from BMW, G-Dragon chose to arrive at the police station in a BMW—a decision that turned many heads.
The 'i7 xDrive 60' has a price tag of a hefty 225 million KRW (172,000 USD) and has earned it the popular moniker, 'GD car.' The limited edition model attracted fierce competition from people wanting to buy the vehicle, with an online draw ratio of 115 to 1 when it was released.
Besides his choice of wheels, G-Dragon's ensemble for his police station visit also drew significant attention. His Jacques Marie Mage 'black horn-rimmed glasses,' a limited-edition model priced around 1.3 million KRW (1,000 USD), spurred numerous inquiries across the internet platforms after the star was seen wearing them. They reportedly sold out immediately after G-Dragon's preliminary drug test returned negative.
Additionally, interest around G-Dragon's suit and brown shoes flooded online platforms, indicating public interest in the star's fashion choices on the day of his questioning.
On the day, at around 1:30 PM, G-Dragon made a voluntary appearance at Incheon Nonhyeon Police Station in Incheon's Namdong District. Over the subsequent four hours, he underwent preliminary questioning regarding drug-related charges under narcotic control laws. Although the star's initial drug test results came back negative, the police intend to carry out additional examinations, including the collection of G-Dragon's urine and hair samples for further, more accurate analysis at the National Forensic Service.
