DAY6's Wonpil is set to be discharged from military service without further requirement for return. Wonpil completed his final military leave on October 31 KST. Although his official discharge date was slated as November 27, it was revealed that his final date of service was brought forward due to the accumulation of unused vacation days.
Expressing his thoughts during his military service stint, Wonpil said, "Throughout my downtime, I considered that the best thing I could do for My Day was to remain healthy and to excel in my military service. Even though the Navy was a challenging path to tread, I persevered until the end.” It was his earnest desire to accumulate his vacation days, be discharged as early as possible, and put up a stellar performance for his fans.
Wonpil further added, "I am ecstatic knowing that only a few days remain until My Day will experience the grey winter, pink spring, blue summer, and yellow autumn. I implore you to wait just a tad longer." The phrase 'Grey Winter, Pink Spring, Blue Summer, Yellow Autumn,’ is a lyric from "Good Luck", a song from Wonpil’s first solo album ‘Pilmography’. Released in February of last year, a month before his enlistment, the album features heartfelt songs written and composed by Wonpil himself.
With Wonpil's return from military service, all DAY6 members will have completed their military obligations.
Exciting stuff, DAY6 will be back, and no more interruptions!
