It was recently reported that actress Jeon So Min will be departing from the popular show 'Running Man' after being a critical part of it for approximately 6 years. Consequently, the SBS production plans to continue the show with a six-member lineup and has no immediate plans to bring a new face on board.
Addressing the situation, an SBS official asserted that the gap left by Jeon So Min's departure won't be hastily filled. Instead, in keeping with the show's racing theme, they plan to welcome diverse guests to replenish her spot. The decision is currently to gauge audience reactions and assess the interactions between guests and existing hosts before considering a permanent addition to the ensemble.
With Jeon So Min's departure looming, 'Running Man' is confronted with another significant alteration. It remains to be seen how the show will navigate her exit and whether it will be an opportunity for a revitalizing transformation. With a history of overcoming hurdles and bouncing back stronger, 'Running Man' fans are now eagerly awaiting to see how the show plans to counter this new development.

Right now the whole RM show depends on funny cast interaction, as the “games” have become very dry and stale. They no longer have the fitness to do running, competitive matches or name tag tearing. Bulk of the show is either eating meals or having long discussions.
JSM leaving is just a small part of the problem, the bigger issue lies with the OG cast being too old to do the physical concepts required of RM.
