'NCT: Lastart' contestant Jungmin will not be debuting with NCT New Team.
On October 2 KST, SM Entertainment released an official notice announcing that Jungmin halted training and his activities with the team for health reasons and instead focused on treatment. In the meantime, the agency had been keeping in contact with Jungmin, his family, and his medical team as the team continued to approach their upcoming pre-debut tour. However, in order to prioritize his health, Jungmin ultimately decided not to join NCT New Team but to instead return as a trainee and continue to concentrate on his recovery.
The agency apologized to fans who were looking forward to Jungmin's NCT New Team debut, and they vowed to focus on his treatment and recovery so that he can engage in new activities later on.
Meanwhile, NCT New Team, also known as NCT Tokyo, will be moving forward with six members: Sion, Riku, Yushi, Daeyoung, Ryo, and Sakuya.
He himself chose to return as a trainee? Bro.. I get about being selfless but if I earned a place in a group like NCT I wouldnt let it go. But good luck to him
