It's truly a delight when groups collaborate, delivering unique performances or co-creating songs. While such special stages are rare treats for fans, it doesn't diminish our desire for them. Here are seven K-Pop crossovers we'd love to see!
1. BTS & INFINITE: Not only do both groups have seven members, but what's even more interesting is that both INFINITE and BTS came from the bottom of the ladder, debuting under companies that many didn't know. However, with perseverance, both have created a significant mark in K-Pop.
2. 2NE1 & (G)I-DLE: Can you imagine the amount of charisma this kind of collaboration would bring? Both (G)I-DLE and 2ne1 are not afraid to experiment with music and concepts, so it'd be great to see what they'd come up with when given the chance to collaborate together.
3. Jeon So Mi & Kim Chung Ha: Starting together in "Produce 101," although both have done crossovers, seeing as to how they were a part of the same group. But now both artists are on their solo career path, and with Chung Ha and Jeon So Mi adapting different styles for every single comeback, imagine a crossover between these two now.
4. ATEEZ & Stray Kids: Put these two groups together, and you're going to get a whole lot of masculine charisma on stage. With similar vibes to one another, something about an ATEEZ and Stray Kids crossover just seems right.
5. BLACKPINK & SISTAR: Whereas BLACKPINK is all bold and charismatic, SISTAR, with their catchy summer songs, is a complete contradiction. But people do say opposites attract, right? Fans rarely get to see BLACKPINK take on a bubbly, light-hearted concept, so it'd be interesting to see a crossover between these two iconic girl groups, don't you think?
6. Seventeen & TXT: I mean, have you guys seen just how much Minggyu adores Soobin? That reason alone calls for a crossover between these two groups. Imagine the amount of chaos if these two were to come out on a variety show together!
7. Oh My Girl & ITZY: Right off the bat, these two groups are opposites, starting with ITZY, who debuted with a fierce and bold concept, while Oh My Girl is all about the cute concept. What would happen if they took a switch?
In the past, many more crossovers happened. Who can forget the Wonder Boys performing their rendition of girl group songs? Even during the 2013 Gayo Daejun, fans were treated to Girls Day and APINK doing a crossover. It's a nice twist to the usual performances, so hopefully, we can see more in the future!
