Dara recently shared her feelings when she reunited with the 2NE1 members for the special surprise Coachella performance last year.

Dara appeared as a special guest on the 12th episode of Kim Jae Joong's YouTube channel talk show 'Jaefriends,' which aired on October 12. During the show, she talked with her long-time friend about various topics, reminiscing about her days as an idol.

One of the discussion topics was the unconventional hairstyles she donned while promoting with 2NE1. Dara explained she had extra trouble when she donned "tall hair," such as her "pineapple hair."

She explained, "The cars didn't have sunroofs at the time. So I was always like this (crouched to the side). My neck hurt so bad. It'd be harder if the hair was extra tall. Carnival vans were the worst. My neck was always hurting. It was hard. I cried a lot, too."

Dara also added, "For Coachella too, CL was like, 'Crouch down!' because my hair would give it away since it was a surprise. I even had to hide off-stage because I might be seen by attendees. So I walked like this (with my head to the side)."

Dara revealed that CL was the one who suggested Dara do the hair for the Coachella performance. Kim Jae Joong was impressed and praised, "CL always thinks out of the box." Dara agreed and added, "Yeah, she's a great producer. So everything is all mapped out. She'd tell you what works for you. Everything is in check."

Kim Jae Joong recalled the 2022 Coachella performance and shared, "I had chills the moment the song started. You were barefooted." Dara revealed she had actually lost her shoe during the performance.

Jae Joong continued, "You went without any promotion. It was a total surprise. But everyone knew who 2NE1 was. That's what's mindblowing. You could literally hear the crowd go wild. Wow. It was amazing."

Dara shared that Coachella was a special moment for her and 2NE1. She explained, "I wasn't expecting much. Because it's been 7 years since we did anything. But the moment we were on stage everyone sang along. I felt like the main character in a movie. Back when we were on our world tour, K-pop wasn't a thing in the U.S. as it is now. So, I never dreamed we'd get that huge response."
