The Incheon Police Narcotics Investigation Unit recently sought a search warrant for the communication records of G-Dragon, known offstage as Kwon Ji Yong, following alleged suspicion of drug offenses. However, the attempt proved futile as the Incheon District Court rejected the warrant, citing "insufficient evidence of a crime."
According to legal and police sources, on October 30, the Incheon Police Narcotics Investigation Unit recently applied for a search warrant for G-Dragon's communication records under the suspicion of drug offenses based on drug control laws. After reviewing this, the prosecution requested a warrant from the Incheon District Court.
However, the court rejected the search warrant on the grounds of 'insufficient evidence of a crime.' This means that there is still no clear confirmation regarding Kwon's drug use based on the statements obtained by the police.
As a result, the police plan to reapply for a search warrant for communication records and conduct further investigations. The police believe that securing Kwon's communication records will help confirm his relationship with certain individuals, including the 'membership room salon' in Seoul's Gangnam district.
Previously, G-Dragon expressed through his legal representative that he had no history of drug use.
A police official stated, "Since we have to reapply for the search warrant, the investigation into Kwon may be delayed somewhat."
Meanwhile, the investigation into actor Lee Sun Gyun, suspected of marijuana and synthetic drug offenses under the same drug control laws, has been gaining momentum. Lee Sun Gyun's mobile phone was confiscated during his police appearance. The authorities are scrutinizing the call records and performing digital forensics to ascertain if the device had been in Lee Sun Gyun's possession prior and if there had been any attempts to delete data.
Furthermore, the police sent Lee Sun Gyun's urine and hair samples to the National Institute of Scientific Investigation for detailed analysis. On October 28, a preliminary drug test conducted on his urine sample returned negative results. In line with these findings, Lee denied all drug-related accusations during his police interrogation.
On the other hand, via his attorney, G-Dragon maintained his denial of the drug charges, confirmed his voluntary participation in the investigation process, and willingness to submit all necessary material and undergo required hair and urine tests. G-Dragon's legal representative strongly emphasized, "We expressed our intention for voluntary attendance with the police and active cooperation with the investigation," and "He has voluntarily submitted all necessary information for the investigation and has also expressed a willingness to undergo hair and urine tests."

In other words, they've got nothing and are trying to go fishing. He must just be on someone's contact list, or someone else has mentioned his name, without having any evidence of actual contact.
.
Why are they still trying to associate him with that entertainment venue though? There was no suggestion he was caught up in anything like that, and why are they now calling it a 'salon', when they said the two cases are separate?
.
This is getting very very confusing, and I get the feeling that they're trying to attempt the mother of all fit-ups.
