KQ Entertainment delivered sad news on October 24 that ATEEZ member Seonghwa's grandmother has passed away.
On this day, the label released a statement announcing that Seonghwa will be temporarily halting activities and will not be participating in the upcoming group's activities in the U.S.
According to the announcement, Seonghwa, however, will be rejoining the group for the 'Immortal Songs in New York' performance that is scheduled on October 26.

This is KQ Entertainment.
We regretfully announce that ATEEZ member Seonghwa's grandmother passed away on the 23rd. We offer our deepest condolences and prayers for the deceased.
We kindly request warm support and encouragement for Seonghwa during this difficult time. Due to this unfortunate event, Seonghwa will be unable to attend the scheduled activities in the United States.
After paying his respects and fulfilling his commitments, Seonghwa plans to return to his schedule and will participate in 'Immortal Songs in New York' on the 26th. We ask for understanding from fans who were looking forward to the debut anniversary live.
We extend our condolences and sympathy to Seonghwa's family. Thank you."
