Rowoon is opening up to fans upon his departure from SF9.
On September 18 KST, the same day FNC Entertainment announced he would be leaving the group, he released a handwritten letter on the official fan cafe. The message reads as follows:
"Hello, this is Rowoon.
I thought a lot about what word to start with. To be honest, it's a little scary to write something after such a long time.
I think I've gotten a little more used to being more strict on myself while doing activities and taking on new challenges. There was also frustration in not being able to solve each of the big and small misunderstandings, and while thinking that my sincerity would one day be delivered, the days passed by while I focused on what I had to do right away.
Of course, I understand that as much as I receive attention and support, I can also be hated, but I guess I'm a little soft. Sometimes, when misunderstandings arise, you need the courage to say no, but in those past days, I was always busy hiding. I am truly sorry if there are any fans who felt hurt and disappointed by my complacent attitude.
If you felt unfamiliar with my behavior, which was different from before, you must also have been disappointed because I was hiding. I sincerely apologize.
I participated in scheduled activities with a grateful heart for each and every precious memory during the past seven years. I’m only filled with gratitude as I write this and look back on my life. This is also thanks to everyone.
This year, I am 27, and I want to take on a new challenge.
I think I was really at a loss as to how to talk, where to start, and what kind of story to start with, but I want to tell you that I want to gather courage and take on a new challenge. Please keep watch so that 27-year-old Kim Seok Woo [Rowoon's real name] can live a responsible life.
I'm sure I will be exactly who you all remember.
I am truly grateful to everyone.
I'd appreciate it if you all watched over me with affection."
Meanwhile, as previously reported, SF9 will be continuing as eight members while Rowoon continued to pursue his acting career.
Good luck to him.
Also, I don't understand people who are surprised that idols go into acting or say that his agency should organize his schedule better (so he could act and be part of his group at the same time). It is so unrealistic. People change, do we all stick to one job all our life, to one hobby, one career path? No.
Also lets be real, only the top percent of idols will earn enough money during their idol life to be able do whatever they want later in life, the rest will have to work, this or another way.
