Lee Se Young, Bae In Hyuk, Joo Hyun Young, and Yoo Seon Ho, the main cast of MBC's upcoming drama, 'The Story of Widow Park's Marriage Contract,' have successfully conducted their initial script reading.
Scheduled to hit the airwaves in November, the drama is a one-of-a-kind story set between two time periods. The story will show a Joseon Dynasty woman Park Yeon Woo possessing a 19th-century mindset, who miraculously survives a life-threatening incident and lands in Korea in 2023. The narrative intricately binds her fate with Kang Tae Ha, an emotionless, calculating king from the 21st century. The drama will bring to life a heartwarming tale of a contract marriage.
Lee Se Young plays the lead character Park Yeon Woo, a girl from the Joseon Dynasty who lands in South Korea in 2023. Her character includes a series of interesting twists including being widowed on her wedding day and being kidnapped, which eventually lead her to a contract marriage with Kang Tae Ha, portrayed by Bae In Hyuk. Bae In Hyuk's character is a clear departure from his previous roles as he embodies the indifferent and logical Kang Tae Ha.
Joo Hyun Young brings to life the character of Sa Wol, Park Yeon Woo's handmaid and friend. Yoo Seon Ho, known for his various roles in dramas and entertainment, plays Kang Tae Min. As the playful and fun-loving half-brother of Kang Tae Ha and the third-generation heir of a Korean chaebol, he is set to capture the hearts of viewers.
