Former NMIXX member Jini begins countdown to her solo debut with 'An Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove'

Former NMIXX member Jini is poised to make her mark as a solo artist.

She officially kick-started the countdown to her debut with the release of a meticulously prepared teaser schedule chart on September 15, KST.

According to the schedule chart, Jini will unveil the first album trailer film on September 18 at midnight KST followed by more concept photos and other visualizer teasers.

Finally, Jini will debut with the release of the music video and album on October 11 at 6 PM KST.

Well this confirms that she didn't leave NMIXX because she wanted to quit being an idol, we can check off that box. Her sudden departure is one of Kpop's greatest unsolved mysteries. 🤔

the theory that she left NMIXX and subsequently left JYPE due to creative differences is making much more sense. maybe she wanted a group with a clear and consistent concept (which NMIXX doesn’t have, not saying that their concept sucks but it seems like they’re inspired by the concept of the most popular group around at the time.) or just didn’t like the direction the group was taking. Personally, i don’t really believe the hotel rumors (after all they were spread by Sojang…); i think for someone to leave a group there doesn’t need to be necessarily a scandalous reason behind their decision. yes, her leaving was sudden, but doesn’t mean she was kicked out.
