K-pop stars BLACKPINK have garnered numerous nominations at the '2023 MTV Video Music Awards' (VMAs) reflecting not only the group's global impact but helping to bolster k-pop's presence in these American awards.
According to the list of nominees posted on the VMA website on September 1 (local time), BLACKPINK has been nominated in six major categories including "Group of the Year", "Show of the Summer", "Best K-Pop", "Best Choreography", "Best Art Direction", "Best Editing". With these nominations, the female foursome have established themselves as the most nominated kpop act this year.
On the other hand, it has been reported that currently BLACKPINK and Anitta are the leading artists in these awards, although the situation could change as the days go by.

MTV and awards just get more pathetic every year. Blackpink is fine, I enjoy pre KTL, but this is just pandering.
