In a recent interview centered around their unit debut mini album 'THE UNSEEN', MONSTA X's Shownu and Hyungwon shared their thoughts about the group's mandatory service duties.
Born in 1994, Hyungwon is also preparing for his military enlistment. He expressed, "The exact date hasn't been announced yet, but as I'm getting older, I can't help but think it will be sooner rather than later." He added, "I think the other members felt the same way. Jooheon, Kihyun, Minhyuk, and I have all been making preparations. Personally, I'm actually looking forward to it a little."
Notably, Shownu shared some warm advice for his fellow members currently serving or about to serve. Shownu said, "When Minhyuk enlisted, we had a brief conversation, and he was already aware that his life in the entertainment industry and at the training center would drastically change. We discussed things like sleeping, eating, and training."
He continued, "Hyungwon has only asked about the training center as the enlistment date hasn't been revealed yet. I've served in public service, and Minhyuk is an active-duty soldier, so he's been enlightening me on things I'm not familiar with."
Hyungwon chimed in with a laugh, saying, "Minhyuk came home on leave and talked to me about military life. It felt like we were living together as he shared all the details, so I have a general idea of how it feels."
Their discipline and strong work ethics will make it easier for them. Wishing them luck on their basic training! 🤞
