MONSTA X announce strong legal action against those who invade their privacy

AKP STAFF

MONSTA X has recently announced that they will take strong action against privacy infringement, in response to ongoing incidents of invasion of the members' privacy.

The statement highlighted specific instances of privacy invasion, such as unauthorized visits and filming in private spaces, continuous contact with artists through illegally obtained personal information, and unreasonably following their moving vehiles. Starship Entertainment made it clear that these actions will not be tolerated, and they are committed to taking strict legal action to protect the privacy of their artists and prevent further damage. They also mentioned that if any act of invasion of privacy is discovered, measures will be taken to prohibit participation in all schedules and events related to MONSTA X.

You can read Starship Entertainment's full statement below:

"Hello.

This is Starship Entertainment.

First of all, I would like to thank the fans who cherish and support MONSTA X.

Recently, acts of invading the privacy of MONSTA X members have continued, causing serious mental and material damage to artists and people around them.

Unauthorized visits to and filming in private spaces, including accommodations, continuous contact with artists through illegally obtained personal information, and unreasonably following moving vehicles are repeated.

In order to protect the privacy of our artists and prevent further damage, we plan to take strict legal punishment without tolerance for these acts. In addition, if an act of invasion of privacy is discovered, we will take measures to prohibit participation in all schedules and events related to MONSTA X.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who has given MONSTA X a lot of interest and love, and ask for the understanding and active cooperation of fans for the safety of the artist and everyone.

Thank you."

File stalking charges and get restraining orders against each individual who they catch doing this. Lobby for hefty fines and jail time if they are prosecuted. No acceptance of the wringing of hands, whining, crocodile tears and 'apologies', none of that means shit and they will keep doing it.

Good for them, it must be horrible to be always having to watch their backs because 'fans' have no boundaries and won't leave them alone. It seems to be a fundamental problem in the Kpop scene, probably because of the way fans have been brought up to view idols as their property, the agencies really need to start steering away from that, it's not healthy for either the fans or the artists.

.

Stars wander around London freely without a problem and always have done, fans don't bother them (well maybe the occasional autograph hunter). There may be the occasional stalker but they are dealt with, and it's unusual.
