On August 6, it was confirmed that Super Junior's Kyuhyun had signed with Antenna for his individual activities, bidding farewell to SM Entertainment after an illustrious 17-year journey with the company. 

Then on August 8, Girls' Generation's Sunny notified fans that she would no longer remain with SM Entertainment. She made headlines by parting ways with SM Entertainment after 16 years of dedication to the label. She revealed her departure from SM Entertainment through a message on her social media account while extending her heartfelt message for Girls' Generation's 16th-anniversary.

Adding to the shock wave, Baekhyun hastily logged on to Instagram Live to clarify rumors that he had established his own company. On August 7, Baekhyun was surprised that the news of establishing his own company had been leaked and went on a live broadcast to assure fans about his future activities. On this day, Baekhyun confirmed that he had opened his own label with choreographer Kasper and elaborated that he would be releasing his own work through the newly established label but will still be with SM for EXO activities.
