Jang Hyuk's outfit at the press conference was a topic of conversation.
On the afternoon of August 2, the star actor attended the production presentation of JTBC's new entertainment program 'Courier in Mongolia' at The Riverside Hotel in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
Unlike the other cast members, who were dressed for the occasion, Jang Hyuk arrived wearing a tight green V-neck T-shirt and jeans, which seemed too casual for the event.
As he noticed the stares and discomfort from others, Jang Hyuk took the initiative to address the situation and apologize.
He admitted his mistake, saying, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to turn out like this, but it happened." He went on to explain that he believed that the rest of the cast would also plan to coordinate their outfits, aiming to evoke the feel of the Mongolian grasslands.
Jang Hyuk shared, "I wanted to express the grasslands of Mongolia. I thought the other members would dress more casually as if they would ride the horses across the desert (to portray the mood of the show) but when I came, I became surprised." He continued, "They all dressed up (in suits and shirts). It was okay when taking photos alone but it's difficult as a group (because I feel out of place)," making everyone laugh.
However, things didn't go as intended, and he ended up being the only one in such a unique attire.
The other performers at the event also felt uneasy about the outfit, and some even made light-hearted jokes about it, attributing the incident to Jang Hyuk's eccentricity.
Meanwhile, JTBC's new entertainment program 'Courier in Mongolia' promises exciting adventures as 'best friends Kim Jong Kook, Jang Hyuk, Cha Tae Hyun, Hong Kyung Min, Hong Kyung In, and the youngest member Kang Hoon set out to deliver parcels in Mongolia. The show is set to premiere at 11:00 pm on August 18.
