DKZ's Kyoungyoon has officially left the group roughly five months after the controversy involving his family's alleged ties to the JMS cult.
On August 7 KST, the group's agency Dongyo Entertainment took to their official fan cafe to give fans an update on Kyoungyoon's hiatus, which started in April so that he could receive treatment for his anxiety and sociophobia. According to the statement, Kyoungyoon's condition has improved a lot; however, after discussing the future of his activities with the group, it was decided he will be leaving DKZ and enlisting for his mandatory military service within the year.
In a handwritten letter that accompanied the announcement, Kyoungyoon talked to fans, apologizing to those who were surprised and disappointed by his controversy earlier in the year. "I spent time thinking a lot over the past five months. After thinking about the best choice for all the people I care about, I came to the conclusion that I should let DKZ's Kyoungyoon go. I hope the fans will understand my choice," he wrote. "I don't want to regret my choice, even thinking of the remaining members. I will keep these feelings in my heart in the future. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving and supporting DKZ's Kyoungyoon."
Meanwhile, DKZ will be continuing as five members.

Poor kid! He can't help his parents' choices. I wish him all the best for the future. And DKZ too. I hope things go better for them in the future as well.
