Touring Data, the official ticket count platform, recently announced that BLACKPINK's "BORN PINK" World Tour, with just 48 of its 64 shows (16 yet to be reported), has made history by grossing over 200 million USD in ticket sales, making BLACKPINK the first-ever girl group tour to achieve this feat. Additionally, "BORN PINK" holds the record as the first tour by a female act in Asia to surpass 100 million USD, raking in 124.4 million USD from only 22 out of its 28 scheduled shows.
The report also highlighted another significant accomplishment of BLACKPINK: their concert at the National Stadium in Singapore, a part of their “BORN PINK” tour, set records with a staggering gross of $9.226 million, becoming the highest grossing Asian concert of all-time. With an attendance of 97,977 spectators over 2 nights, filling 100% of the stadium's capacity, they eclipsed BTS's previous record at the same venue during their Love: Speak Yourself Tour in 2018, which drew 39,946 attendees for 1 night. This achievement sets yet another historical benchmark for South Korean music acts.
BLACKPINK was also congratulated for being the highest-grossing act in Thailand's history, earning $36.3 million and selling 205,000 tickets for 10 shows since 2019. BLACKPINK is also the only Kpop artist to sell out a concert at Rajamangala Stadium, achieving this milestone twice in a row and grossing approximately $15,380,701, which greatly contributed to the country's economy and tourism.
Previously, BLACKPINK had already shown their power by being the only Asian act to manage to headline the two Biggest Music Festivals "Coachella" and "BST Hyde Park" to sold out tickets, selling out entire stadiums during their world tour and injecting huge profits to the economies of different countries, surpassing legends like Spice Girls, TLC, and Destiny's Child and enjoying having the highest grossing concert in history by an Asian act thanks to their concert at the "Foro Sol" in Mexico City.
Congratulations to BLACKPINK!
Just the sale of tickets without counting the merchandising which must have sold very well at the entrance to the concerts.
