ATTRAKT CEO Jun Hong Joon has spoken out regarding the court's denial of the injunction to suspend the exclusive contract for FIFTY FIFTY.
In a telephone interview with the Munhwa Ilbo on the same day the court's rejection order was issued, CEO Jun stated, "The past two months, every day has been really painful." He added, "Seeing the rejection verdict, I feel like they've at least acknowledged the injustice I've been through."
On this day, the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court rejected FIFTY FIFTY's application for an injunction to suspend the exclusive contract against their agency, ATTRAKT.
The court brushed off the three accusations from FIFTY FIFTY: failure to meet settlement obligations, neglecting health protection obligations, and lack of adequate support. In response, they declared, "Given there's no valid reason for this application, all claims are hereby rejected." As a consequence, FIFTY FIFTY will incur all litigation expenses. The court scrutinized evidence from both sides; however, struggled to establish that trust had been compromised.
The court examined the evidence presented by both parties but found it difficult to determine that the trust between them had been broken.
CEO Jun stated, "I am deeply grateful to the many fans who have supported me and the company." He added, "If things go well for me, I feel like I should support those who have been unfairly treated, even if it's just a little grain of sand. I think I should not ignore them in the future."
However, CEO Jun expressed his intention to continue the legal action against The Givers, whom he accused of attempting to take away the members.
He said, "Above all, I want the members to come back (to ATTRAKT)," and he revealed his inner thoughts, saying, "I hope this serves as a good precedent that will sound the alarm for those who engage in defamation and attempts to take over the group, which hinders the development of Hallyu."
Reacting to the court's refusal of the injunction, the legal representatives for FIFTY FIFTY stated, "Upon receiving the written judgment, we will consult with the members and decide whether to lodge an appeal," hinting at a likely conclusion within two to three days.
That man is being much kinder than I would ever be, if I had been put through the situation that he was in. To me that shows that he really did care for those girls and still does.
