Choi Jun Hee, the daughter of the late legendary actress Choi Jin Sil, recently called the police on her maternal grandmother for allegedly invading her home.
On July 8, Jeong Ok Sook, Choi Jin Sil's mother, visited the apartment of her grandson, Choi Hwan Hee, where she was subsequently arrested at around 1 AM on July 9 by the police and taken to Banpo Police Station based on a request made by grandaughter Choi Jun Hee.
On July 7, a day prior to the incident, Choi Hwan Hee, the grandson, had requested his grandmother, Jeong Ok Sook, to look after his cat while he was away for a three-night, four-day trip. Agreeing to his request, Jeong Ok Sook spent the night cleaning the house and proceeded with various chores the following day, which included preparing side dishes and doing laundry. After a busy day, she was taking a break in the living room when she was taken aback by the unexpected arrival of her granddaughter, Choi Jun Hee, and her boyfriend.
The late Choi Jin Sil originally purchased the apartment in question, and the family resided there together. Jeong Ok Sook had lived with Choi Hwan Hee and Choi Jun Hee in the same apartment until the previous year, when Choi Jun Hee reached adulthood, thus concluding Jeong Ok Sook's role as their legal guardian. Subsequently, the apartment was inherited by Choi Jin Sil's children, Choi Hwan Hee and Choi Jun Hee.
The police informed Jeong Ok Sook that, even if her grandson, who is the owner of the apartment had allowed her to enter, if another co-owner of the property disallowed it, it would legally be considered a home invasion. Jeong Ok Sook expressed her disbelief, questioning the validity of such a law, and was subsequently arrested by the police at Banpo district police station. Later, she was released and returned home.
On the other hand, Choi Jun Hee had previously claimed on social media that she was subjected to verbal abuse and assault by her maternal grandmother. However, after a police investigation, no evidence was found to support her allegations, and Jeong Ok Sook's involvement in the assault was deemed unsubstantiated.
Then on July 11, Choi Jun Hee revealed a video on her social media showing the circumstance of her grandmother's arrest.
What a way to report on this news not including all the details. There was text evidence from the grandmother from years ago asking his grandson to testify against his sister and that her sister was lying and was that her sister was the one abusing her. Take note this was the first time she was talking about. She only obtained the screenshot of those conversations years later after she became an adult.
