'Produce 101 Japan' Season 3, which has already received a tremendous number of applicants, will be filmed in both Japan and South Korea, according to media reports.
The upcoming season of this popular audition program is gathering 101 female trainees with over 14,000 applicants, setting a new record for the show. This season will also introduce a new concept by filming a significant amount of footage in South Korea.
A crew member revealed that the Japanese contestants will be trained in Korea during August "to experience the country's systematic training system." The selection process for the 101 trainees began in May, and interestingly, there are reports of North American and European trainees among the applicants.
The theme for the new season is 'LEAP HIGH,' which symbolizes young girls leaping forward to pursue their dreams. Lee Ji Hye, the producer behind the first two successful seasons, will once again take charge of this season.
