Over the years and with the advancement of technology, there have been various pioneering platforms that emerged to make voting for music programs much more accessible.
The K-pop community has always been passionate and supportive of their favorite artists, with voting competitions being a common way for fans to express their love and dedication. Mubeat capitalized on this enthusiasm by providing a user-friendly and reliable voting platform.
Recently, the app took a bold step in maintaining the credibility of its voting system by identifying and removing thousands of fraudulent Heart Beat votes. Moreover, it did not stop there; Mubeat went a step further to reveal the users involved in deceitful voting practices.
Mubeat announced on July 25, "A number of users have taken advantage of an in-app bug to illicitly earn Heart Beats and use them for voting. All illicitly earned Heart Beats and voting tickets that were purchased with these Heart Beats have been deducted."
It was revealed that fraudulent votes for Jungkook (195,167), ZEROBASEONE (10,334), EXO (5,612), NCT DREAM (1,167), and SHOWNU x HYUNGWON (1,100) were removed. With the usernames and the number of fraudulent votes removed revealed, Korean netizens couldn't help but be shocked.
They commented, "Wow, one person voted 195,167 times for Jungkook?" "So embarrassing how they got caught fraudulent voting," "At least it was just one person for Jungkook," "It's more fascinating that one person was able to put in that many votes," "Wow, that's almost 200K votes by one person," "Almost all fandoms have fans who do fraudulent voting," "OMG look at the numbers," "A lot of Jungkook fans were blaming EXO but it was actually Jungkook who got the most fraudelent votes," "How did that one person put in that many votes?" and "That's a crazy number."
Not them exposing the name of the artists involved......
