ATTRAKT revealed the phone call with Warner Music Korea as proof that an outside agency was attempting to poach FIFTY FIFTY.
On July 3rd KST, ATTRAKT's CEO Jun Hong Joon revealed his phone call with Warner Music Korea's representative to the press. The phone call is as follows:
Warner Music Korea (hereinafter WMK): "There's something I wanted to make sure."
ATTRAKT's CEO Jun Hong Joon (hereinafter CEO): "Sure."
WMK: "We have proposed 20 billion KRW for the buyout to Ahn Sung Il."
CEO: "I have not heard of it."
WMK: "You are unaware of it?"
CEO: "Yes, what is a buyout?"
WMK: "The label"
CEO: "What about the label?"
WMK: "So... in plain language, we proposed to take over all of the members and such."
CEO: "No, not at all."
Regarding the recording ATTRAKT claims, "CEO Ahn Sung Il has been unilaterally proceeding with FIFTY FIFTY's buyout without CEO Jun Hong Joon's approval. There are more criminal acts by The Givers' CEO Ahn Sung Il."
Meanwhile, ATTRAKT is run by CEO Jun Hong Joon and is the label that has the sole management rights of FIFTY FIFTY. When ATTRAKT first decided to launch the group, they hired the external music production company, The Givers, led by CEO Ahn Sung Il. The two companies were in agreement in a partnership in producing FIFTY FIFTY, with ATTRAKT holding the management rights while The Givers were in charge of the music production and managing projects under a service contract.
Following the group's success with "Cupid", an allegation that The Givers' CEO Ahn Sung Il is the third party trying to take the girl group from ATTRAKT arose. After the news that a third company was trying to poach the girls was released, the four members all suddenly filed for a provisional injunction to suspend their exclusive contract with ATTRAKT.
Unless something else comes out, it doesn’t look good for fifty fifty and ahn sung. It’s amazing how quickly this group was destroyed
