Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the most prestigious music events in the world, is known for its star-studded lineups and iconic performances. Being invited to such prestige music festivals is one of the most sought-after achievements for any artist.

In 2019, BLACKPINK was invited to perform at Coachella, making history by becoming the first-ever K-pop girl group to perform at the music festival. Four years later, BLACKPINK headlined the main stage at Coachella, holding an hour-long performance in 2023.

On June 16, BLACKPINK revealed the moment when the members found out that they will be headlining one of the most renowned music festivals in the world.

According to the video "B.P.M. Roll #23" that was revealed on BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel, it seemed that Rose and Jisoo had already known about the good news and were prepared to break the news to Jennie.

Coachella co-founder Paul Tolett personally asked the group to headline the music festival, which got a big reaction from Jennie. He shared, "We want you to headline Coachella. You're just bigger and better than anyone. It's so logical."  Jennie's jaw dropped with joy as she heard the good news.

This special clip was revealed just a few months after BLACKPINK's unforgettable performance at Coachella, and fans were able to share the joy of hearing the news again.
