On June 24, a netizen uploaded a screenshot on Pann of Cosmic Girls' Luda with a poster of a male idol behind her. The netizen claimed the poster was of Kang Daniel, and a rumor spread rapidly that the two idols are dating, including many malicious comments towards Kang Daniel.

However, shortly thereafter, netizens found the poster was not Kang Daniel at all but Golden Child's Bomin from his group's season's greetings merchandise.

Netizens expressed their apologies towards Kang Daniel for the false accusation:
