Kakao Entertainment will provide Melon chart data to Billboard for reflection on Global 200, Global Excl. U.S., & more

On June 7 KST, Kakao Entertainment confirmed its newest partnership with Luminate Data Holdings, the data management company used by Billboard. 

Beginning on this day, Kakao will provide Luminate with Melon chart data which will affect the following 3 Billboard music charts: the regional 'South Korea Songs' chart, 'Global 200', and 'Global Excl. U.S.'. All three charts will reflect Melon's streaming and download data. 

Melon is officially the first South Korean streaming platform to provide its chart data to Billboard.

I Hope it shows the only 3 groups with 3 songs topping melon charts at the same time, that's impressive.

Now all groups under kakao will be on bb200 without effort. Nice make bb more irrelevant that its already is.
