T.O.P has confirmed that he has withdrawn from Big Bang.

On May 29, T.O.P posted a short video and photo on his Instagram, giving an update and bringing excitement to fans. In the video, T.O.P is seen mixing music in his house and posting a short message in the photo. He wrote, "Still making my albums."

Many fans were excited to hear that T.O.P is preparing to return to the music scene after leaving YG Entertainment. However, after his departure from YG Entertainment, there was one thing that was not clear to fans: whether he only left the label or he left Big Bang as well.

So one fan decided to ask the artist himself. She wrote, "TOP did you leave big bang?" in the comment section of his latest Instagram update. T.O.P responded, "I've already withdrawn... I've already told you guys that I'm leaving and I'm now facing a new chapter in my life since last year."

T.O.P then went on to clarify that his comeback would be as a solo artist and posted on his Instagram story that he had already left the group. He crossed out Big Bang numerous times on his Instagram stories.

It seems that a handful of fans were surprised since there weren't many news articles that publicized that T.O.P had left Big Bang.
