On this day, Jennie appeared for the first time on the Met Gala red carpet. She appeared wearing a Chanel white mini dress decorated with white roses. In particular, she drew attention by adding black stockings and heels.
An American media outlet reported, "Jennie, who made headlines at Coachella as a member of BLACKPINK, attended her first Met Gala and set another milestone. Jennie is called 'Human Chanel' among fans."
Recently BLACKPINK became the first Korean girl group to be named as a headliner at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and challenged for the first time in acting through the HBO series 'The Idol'. 'The Idol' will be invited to the non-competitive section of the 76th Cannes International Film Festival, which will be held from May 16 to 27, and will be screened for the first time.
The Met Gala, meanwhile, invites stars from across film, TV and music every year. This year, including Jennie, Phoebe Bridgers, Cardi B, Jessica Chastain, Pete Davidson, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Gigi Hadid, Anne Hathaway, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Ariana DeVos, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez, Pedro Pascal, Robert Pattinson, Florence Pugh, and Margot Robbi.
If an American was wearing this, they would be getting dragged for it. I don't know if it's because Korea tends to be a bit more "simple" at these types of events, but this is a pretty disappointing dress for the met gala.
