Trainee from 'Fantasy Boy's Calls Out (G)I-DLE's Soyeon, Changes YouTube Video Title After Controversy
Korean and international fans alike were angered over a video posted by trainee Moon Jae Young of 'Fantasy Boy's, for disrespecting his mentor, Jeon Soyeon. On April 8, 2023, Moon uploaded a video titled "소년판타지 전소연에게 지적받은 문제영 근황," which translates to "The current status of Fantasy Boy's Moon Jae Young criticized by Jeon Soyeon." The video sparked a backlash from fans, who criticized Moon for his apparent lack of respect towards his mentor and for the inappropriate title of the video.
Fans were quick to criticize Moon for not showing proper respect towards his senior, Jeon Soyeon, and for the disrespectful title of his video. After receiving backlash, Moon changed the title of the video to "소년판타지 문재영 근황," which translates to "Fantasy Boy's Moon Jae Young," but some fans were still dissatisfied with his initial behavior.
The said trainee was also criticized for his past behavior of not taking Jeon Soyeon's judging remarks seriously.
The trainee was seen laughing and was talking back to his mentor while his fellow trainees where telling him to keep quiet and stay still. He was also criticized due to same behavior during his first appearance in the show.

Jeon Soyeon is pretty much the best mentor you could ask for, being in an audition program. She knows the in’s and outs of the industry, has creative control over her career, and she actually walked through the same path years ago being on Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar. There’s so much that she can teach. To disrespect her of all people is to make a fool of yourself. Flop behavior.
