On April 18, Osen reported that Kim Sae Ron, who recently received a fine for drunk driving, will continue to appear in the Netflix original series, 'BloodHounds.' This announcement is generating quite a buzz because it was previously believed that Kim Sae Ron would be dropped from the show due to the DUI controversy.
According to media reports, Kim Sae Ron's appearances in 'Bloodhounds' were kept to a minimum and were not completely edited out. The production team reportedly found it impossible to make significant changes to the storyline or the character's traits, which Kim Sae Ron portrays. Rumors were circulating that Jung Da Eun would be brought in to replace Kim Sae Ron, but an official from 'Hounds' clarified that the two actresses are not playing the same character.
Netflix's highly anticipated series, 'Bloodhounds,' is set to premiere in mid-June. The show is based on a popular webtoon of the same name and follows the story of three young individuals who become involved in the world of private loans in search of financial gain, only to become embroiled in a larger conflict.
The show features a star-studded cast, including Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Jun Ho, and Park Seong Woong.
Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron was caught drinking and driving when she ran into a guardrail, road verge, and transformer on the street of Gangnam on May 18 of last year.
When the police arrived at the scene, she refused to take a breathalyzer test and requested that she be taken to a hospital for a blood test. Her Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was 0.2% at the time of the accident.
It makes sense when you think about it. Imagine the time and money it would take to reshoot so many things- and that’s only IF the actors and directors are still available with their other schedules. I just hope Knetizens won’t punish the show due to Sae Ron’s scandal, as no one else was involved and they shouldn’t have to bear that weight. Furthermore, Kim Sae Ron also paid for her crimes, lost her career and endorsements for the time being, and practically set her reputation ablaze with her social media scandals- so it’s not like she’s getting a free pass in this situation either.
