BTS's SUGA was the special guest on the 19th episode of 'IU's Palette,' the YouTube talk show hosted by IU.
On this day, the two artists talked about various topics as singer-songwriters of the same age. SUGA touched on his first solo world tour and revealed that he has much prepared for his fans. He explained that he is turning 30 this year, and it is also his first world tour, so this year would be that much more meaningful.
SUGA also gave a sneak peek into his upcoming documentary 'Agust D: Road to D-Day,' which will be released after his first studio album, 'D-Day.' He jokingly warned fans to skip the first 30 minutes of the documentary as he looks terrible in it. He shared, "It's a bit too serious, I was surprised at myself and I thought 'An idol can look like that?'"He also shared that the documentary would showcase the process of creating his album along with other aspects.
When IU brought up their collaboration as "People Pt. 2," SUGA shared that he had been contemplating whether to feature Jungkook or IU. Ultimately, he chose IU for the collaboration. While discussing their previous collaboration on "Eight," IU suggested they perform the song together live on 'Palette,' which would mark their first live performance of the song.
While discussing their collaboration with the track "Eight," SUGA mentioned that he was expecting IU to invite him to her recent concert, 'The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun,' to sing this song together.
He shared, "I thought you'd call me as your concert guest, but you didn't." IU responded, "He asked me, 'Why didn't you invite me?' and I said 'Eight' is the opening song..." SUGA continued to express his disappointment and shared, "You could have at least invited me. but I didn't even get an invitation." IU defended herself and explained she doesn't invite her acquaintances to her concerts because she is afraid they might feel overwhelmed."
SUGA then made everyone laugh when he shared, "This is off the record but I didn't have any schedule that day when you were doing the concert." IU responded by sharing, "We would've loved to invite but we couldn't bring a guest starting from the opening song. Your rap part is so short so I couldn't ask you to come just for that."
SUGA then suggested a way for IU to make up for the disappointment and shared, "Then this would work. When I do my concert, you can come to sing as a featured artist."
SUGA continued to joke and tease IU for not inviting him to her concert. When the two were getting ready to sing "Eight," IU asked if he was ready to sing, and he joked, "I was ready since your Olympic Main Stadium concert. I was memorizing the lyrics but got no calls."
Aww, so cute. They clearly are very friendly with each other since he teased her like this. What a good relationship! No room for any forced hate on here.
