BLACKPINK will be reportedly performing at a state dinner hosted by President Biden and his wife during South Korean president, Yoon Suk Yeol's visit to the U.S.
BLACKPINK's agency YG Entertainment told The Daily Sports on March 28 that BLACKPINK had been invited to perform at the state dinner and are currently at the stage of considering it.
Earlier in the day, a media outlet reported that President Yoon Suk Yeol and his spouse Kim Gun Hee, who is making their fist visit to the U.S. in 12 years, will be attending a state dinner hosted by President Biden and his wife. According to the report, BLACKPINK and global pop star Lady Gaga are coordinating a plan to perform together under the theme of "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Korea-U.S. Relations" at the state dinner.
BLACKPINK had worked together with Lady Gaga in the track "Sour Candy" which was released back in June 2020, thus anticipation is rising for this alleged collaboration stage.
Happy for Blackpink and Lady Gaga. Not all artists are invited to perform at the State dinner. #hatersgonnahate
