The Promise, a relief organization in South Korea, recently announced ITZY's Ryujin as the first member of its Honors Club, which is dedicated to recognizing and honoring major donors who have made a significant contribution to their cause.
Membership to the Honors Club is granted to individuals who have either made a cumulative donation of more than 100 million KRW (~76,542 USD) or have continuously demonstrated their commitment to The Promise's mission and values.
Ryujin's generous contributions to the organization include two donations of 50 million KRW (~38,271 USD) for emergency relief efforts following the 2022 wildfire damage on the East Coast of South Korea and for victims of earthquakes in Turkey and Syria this year. These donations helped her exceed the 100 million KRW threshold for membership in the Honors Club.
When asked about her involvement with "The Promise" and her philanthropic efforts, Ryujin expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to support those in need during times of crisis. She stated, "I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to help those who are suffering from disasters, even if it's in a small way."
Ryujin's commitment to supporting those affected by natural disasters and her contributions to The Promise's cause have earned her a well-deserved place in the Honors Club. Her generosity serves as an inspiration to others, encouraging them to make a positive impact on the world around them.
