It was a previously reported that various Korean artists were spotted at the Harry Styles concert in Korea, including BLACKPINK members Jennie and Rose.
On a Korean online community, netizens gathered to discuss a social media post discussing a Harry Styles sighting at a restaurant.
The post claimed that Harry arrived riding a (Kia) Carnival, and that it was a restaurant that BLACKPINK had recommended. BLACKPINK had apparently already paid in advance, so Harry was surprised when he went to pay after his meal. While the meat was cooking, Harry apparently also conversed with the waiter, and was extremely friendly. However it seemed Harry only ate the soybean paste stew because he's vegan, but he couldn't eat too much of it because it was too spicy.
The post continued on to discuss that the worker suggested he grill some side dishes, and mix it with his rice with sesame oil and soy sauce. The worker then continued to speak with Harry Styles about his popularity in Korea. Apparently all the workers got autographs and took pictures with Harry afterwards and that he was extremely polite to everyone.
In response, Korean netizens expressed an array of reactions.
"I'm glad that BLACKPINK took care of it and that Harry also had something he could eat."
"It would have been nice to go to a temple or a vegetarian restaurant. It's a pity there are many delicious vegetarian dishes in Korea."
"Harry may have asked for recommendations for a restaurant to go to with his whole staff, or they may not have known he's vegan; it's funny that people are asking why they would have recommended that restaurant if he's vegan. Harry himself seems to have eaten well with other food available, and they must've all known and discussed it amongst themselves."
"Soybean paste stew is spicy??"
"Awhile ago, I think it was a Chanel event, I think there was a video of Harry watching Jennie perform, so they must have become friends."
"I'll take you to a restaurant specializing in temple food TT Not being able to eat at a restaurant is torture."
"Did BLACKPINK recommend a meat restaurant to a vegan? I guess they didn't know he was vegan."
"It's a bit unfortunate... If you say you're a vegetarian in Korea, there are so many things you can eat deliciously."
They must not have known he was vegan. I know I didn’t. At least the staff was helpful in selecting alternatives.
