K-pop legends BIGBANG, with seven tracks, is the top idol group with the highest number of songs that achieve Perfect All-kill. A song achieves a Perfect All-kill when it has charted at number one on the daily and real-time charts of all major Korean music streaming platforms like Melon, Genie, Bugs, FLO, VIBE, and YouTube Music, while simultaneously being number one on both the real-time and weekly Instiz iCharts.
Songs with this accomplishment are regarded as massive hits in South Korea. Let's take a look at all of BIGBANG's tracks that have achieved PAK.
1. TONIGHT (2011)
BIGBANG earned the first Perfect All-kill of their career with the song “Tonight” in 2011. The track was released on February 24, 2011. Following this, the song's music video was made available on March 1. As confirmed by the official iChart website, “Tonight” was the first song by a K-pop group that achieved a Perfect All-kill.
2. BLUE (2012)
"Blue" by BIGBANG is an R&B track that was released on February 22, 2012, as one of the lead singles of their fifth Korean-language mini album, "Alive." "Blue" is the second song by BIGBANG that topped every chart and achieved a Perfect All-kill. The song is an emotional piece that conveys sentiments of longing, loneliness, and despair.
3. LOSER (2015)
BIGBANG released "Loser" on May 1, 2015, as a part of the group’s single album, "M" from the "MADE series." The song was a commercial hit, peaking at the top of all the charts and receiving a Perfect All-kill. The song has been described as a melancholy hip-hop and R&B tune with a slow melody. We can all relate to the lyrics.
4. LET’S NOT FALL IN LOVE (2015)
The title is "Let's Not Fall In Love," but everyone fell in love with this pop-rock-filled dance hit, which topped every chart and earned BIGBANG another record with a Perfect All-kill. The song was made available on August 4, 2015, as a single from the "MADE Series" album "E." The song's lyrics highlight the subtle fears of youthful love.
5. FXXK IT (2016)
BIGBANG released “Fxxk It” as a track of their third full Korean-language album, “MADE,” on December 13, 2016. It is a hip-hop track with electronic sounds, horns, and synths combined with tropical beats. Despite being prohibited from airing by KBS because of its lyrics, specifically the word "Yangachi," "Fxxk It," received its most deserving Perfect All-kill.
6. FLOWER ROAD (2018)
"Flower Road" is the first digital single by BIGBANG that was released on March 13, 2018, as a gift from the band to VIPs with a promise to return to them when the flowers bloom. The track was characterized as a mid-tempo song filled with R&B melodies. "Flower Road" became BIGBANG’s sixth song to achieve a Perfect All-kill.
7. STILL LIFE (2022)
On April 5, 2022, BIGBANG released their second digital track, "Still Life," marking their return to the music scene after a four-year hiatus. Also, this was their first comeback as a quartet. The song attained Perfect All-Kill and topped all the charts, demonstrating BIGBANG's enduring influence and popularity. BIGBANG was the only boy band and the only second-generation group to obtain this achievement in 2022.
So far, with these seven incredible hits, BIGBANG holds the record of being the K-group group with the highest number of songs that achieved PAK. Fans believe that BIGBANG would have more songs with Perfect All-kill if their songs weren't blocking each other on the charts.
But must point out they'd have more if their own songs didn't block their other songs on some charts. MADE era saw all BIGBANG all the time lined up on all charts, except it wasn't always the same BIGBANG song on top. But look at how the singles all got a PAK.
BIGBANG problems only.
