JYP Entertainment donated 500 million KRW (~395,000) to help Turkey and Syria recover from the earthquakes.
On February 10, NGO World Vision, an international relief and development organization dedicated to helping children and their communities worldwide, announced that JYP Entertainment had donated 500 million KRW to the emergency relief fund for the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
JYP Entertainment said, "We would like to send our deepest condolences to the children and residents of Turkey and Syria who lost their homes and families overnight. We hope that (the donation) will help Turkey and Syria to recover as soon as possible."
Cho Myung-hwan, Chairman of World Vision, said, “Children and residents in northwestern Syria have already suffered many difficulties due to the civil war and other factors, and the earthquake has put them in an even worse situation. We sincerely thank JYP Entertainment for empathizing with the pain of the victims and conveying their deep condolences, and we will do our best to deliver the help they need.”
The donations will be used to provide necessary food and drinking water to children and residents in the affected areas through World Vision and to deliver relief supplies such as temporary residential tents, clothing, heating devices, and daily necessities.
Great job JYP, this is incredible!
