Global boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER have set yet another impressive record with the release of their much-anticipated album!
On January 27, KST, TXT returned with the release of the group's 5th mini-album, 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION.' Along with the album's release, TXT's music video for the title track "Sugar Rush Ride" was also unveiled. A day before its release, HYBE revealed that the album recorded a whopping 2 million copies in pre-orders.
According to the data released by Hanteo, the final first-day sales count for their latest album was a whopping 1,868,919 copies. Making TXT only the 5th K-Pop group to have at least one album accumulating 1 million sales in the first day, after BTS, Seventeen, BLACKPINK, and Stray Kids.
'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION' not only broke their record for first-day sales but also for first-week sales. The group's recently released album broke the previous record set by 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child,' which sold over 1.2 million copies during its first week of release, implying that 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION' only took one day to break their personal-best in first-week sales on Hanteo. On its first day of release, 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child' had around 900,000 units sold, meaning 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION' has doubled the number of its sales.
Overall, TXT's 'The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION' is now the 4th best-selling album in first-day sales in Hanteo history, just behind BTS's albums.
Congratulations to TXT!
