Actress Yoon Jeong Hee passed away after fighting Alzheimer's for over a decade.
On January 20th, her husband and pianist Paik Kun Woo announced that Yoon Jeong Hee passed away in Paris at the age of 79. It was reported he said the actress passed away peacefully while listening to her daughter playing the violin. Her funeral will be held in private in a cathedral near Paris on January 30th.
The actress was born in 1944 and debuted in 1967. She was one of the top 3 actresses of her time along with Moon Hee and Nam Jung Im, and starred in over 320 movies and dramas up until 2010 when she was in the movie 'Poetry'. She received an award at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in the movie. In her career, she has received 24 Best Female Actress at the Grand Bell Awards.

I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer’s as well. It’s a horribly cruel disease. My condolences to her family.
