On December 29, IU posted a video on her official YouTube channel and shared some good news with her fans.
In the video she posted, IU revealed her photoshoot for the 2023 season's greeting. IU filmed this year's season's greeting with the theme of 'Museum' and showed various sides to her charms.
During the video, one staff member asked, "I thought you were going to take it easy after you turn 30," and IU responded, "I never thought it that way. If I don't release albums and aren't preparing for albums, that's taking a break for me. So, this year was my sabbatical."
The staff member pointed out that IU only held two concerts this year, and IU responded by saying, "That's right. I am going to start running next year," foreshadowing her activities for the coming year.
Fans who saw the video commented, "Are you making a declaration? Please save me a seat next year," "I hope she has a tour next year," and "Please have a tour and go around Korea twice."
Meanwhile, IU still had a busy year. She won the 2022 36th Golden Disc Awards Digital Music Awards, attended the 75th Cannes International Film Festival with the movie 'Broker,' held a solo concert at the Seoul Olympic Main Stadium for the first time as a female singer, and won the Rookie of the Year award at the 42nd Korean Film Critics Association Award.
The Queen can do whatever she wants on her terms.
