On the 6th of December BTS member, Jimin took a short trip to New York for some undisclosed personal activities. Fans who had not seen him since his birthday was elated to see their star out and about.

Numerous media outlets reported on Jimin's departure as they shared their curiosity about what was up next for the idol. Fans took to Twitter to trend several keywords in real-time, HAVE A SAFE FLIGHT JIMIN occupied the top spot worldwide and #13 in the United States, Park Jimin peaked at #2 along with Mimi, #PARKJIMIN and JIMIN JIMIN, which amassed over 300K tweets.

While Jimin did not update fans while in the US, he posted a photo on Weverse moments with a cryptic 🤔 emoji on the 9th. Later on, news of his potential feature on BigBang Taeyang's upcoming album started spreading. JIMIN X TAEYANG peaked at #10 worldwide, and 우리 지민 (Our Jimin)trended in South Korea as fans expressed their excitement. The news generated over 30 Million views and thousands of conversations on Weibo, among other platforms. Korean and international media outlets reported on how big the collaboration would be, this is considering that Taeyang is one of the senior idols who Jimin looked up to when he was starting out as an idol.

Following this news Jimin who had jetted back from the United States arrived in South Korea on the morning of the 10th. Upon his arrival Jimin was met with throngs of fans who were at the airport having waited for him to arrive back home. Dressed as he was for his departure, Jimin wore a fresh, cheerful appearance, smiling as he waved and greeted eager fans from afar.

Those who could not make it to the airport were hooked on social media platforms; they trended WELCOME HOME JIMIN, WE LOVE YOU JIMIN, JIMIN JIMIN, Jiminie, Park Jimin, jimins and 우리 지민 (Our Jimin) on Twitter in real-time. Jimin once again posted on Weverse a message of gratitude to fans saying,  

“I went and came back well from work but i fell asleep before and wasn't able to say it heh heh
thank you for welcoming me army heh heh”

Korean netizens took to TheQoo community to react to his wonderful message on Weverse, one of the posts trended on the HOT section with over 14K views and over 200 comments. They thanked him for his hard work wishing him a good rest and highlighting his sweet way of communication; some comments include:
