Rapper Sleepy appeared on 'Show Me The Money' for the first time in five years to take on the challenge once again. Unfortunately, he was eliminated in just the second round.
In the new episode of 'Show Me The Money 11' that aired on November 11, Sleepy was seen in the second qualification round, the 60-second team rapper casting stage. On the broadcast on this day, Sleepy shared, "I'm back after 5 years. I'm not thinking to show something or to prove something. I felt strongly that I'm not part of the Korean Hip Hop category."
When asked, "If you came on Show Me The Money because you weren't able to get recognition, what do you think the reason is (that you are not part of the Hip Hop category)?" Sleepy responded, "I do believe your image is important but I can't let go of the other things like the variety shows of even trot." He continued to say, "It sounds like an excuse but it just became this way because I tried to live a diligent life."
The judges gave Sleepy a word of encouragement, saying it is not a bad thing that he is doing other things, such as entertainment shows or other genres. Sleepy confessed, "To be honest, I was just so happy being in the waiting room. I am happiest when I am rapping. I'm in my 40s but I want to continue to do something." The Quiett shared, "(What you said) resonates with me. What you said that even though you're in your 40s, you're happiest when rapping really resonates with me."
However, Sleepy failed to get cast by any producer teams receiving four fails, ultimately being eliminated in the second round of auditions. As Sleepy was descending from the stage, The Quiett sent his last words of encouragement, saying, "I'll keep cheering for you."
He’s just not really the best but he’s a nice person so I hope he continues doing well in what he can do well
