I'm often intrigued when I see K-pop groups, especially those that are up and coming, going on certain shows in the U.S. Being from the UK, we of course have our programs that are popular amongst a certain demographic. But when I asked a friend who watches this particular show, they said it's mostly an older generation, anywhere from baby boomers to Gen X, with a few millennials mixed in. I get that not everyone can snag a spot on late night television, but I've never understood why companies have their groups go on these talk shows that don't necessarily target their market. It's different if it's a particularly popular group, in which the flow of traffic will follow regardless. But as far as I know, American kids aren't flocking from school to go watch the Kelly Clarkson show as soon as they get home.
