K-netizens are reacting to the recent visa issues related to 'KAMP LA 2022.'
As reported, numerous idols including MONSTA X, Taeyeon, Kai, and Jeon So Mi were unable to perform due to visa issues at the two-day concert hosted by KAMP Global. Single-day ticket holders for the Saturday concert, which had the most no-shows, were allowed to receive a full refund.
On Korean media outlets, netizens shook their heads and remarked that such issues primarily have to do with incomplete documents, tracing this problem back to each idol's respective companies. They wrote: "Visas are paperwork wars. They probably submitted incomplete or untrustworthy documents, so they were rejected. I don't know why such big companies underwent this problem."
Others added: "Don't blame the U.S. They just didn't prepare adequately and failed to fill out the forms properly. Do you they think that showing up with their faces is going to work for airport arrivals?? Who is going to be responsible for all this?"
Netizens mostly left comments with negative reactions to the occurrence and blamed the agencies for signing up for the concert without having taken care of the visa first. Furthermore, several comments assumed that the agencies thought that thorough paperwork in advance was "unnecessary," since the idols were all famous celebrities.
Other comments include:
"Wow...the organizers are so bad at doing their work. How did they even prepare the documents?! If like half of the artists couldn't show up, then they should all receive a full refund."
"They should have organized the concert after taking care of the visa issues. They should have their lawyers at hand. The U.S. isn't lenient with these things."
"I think they thought they would be getting their visas quickly just because they are celebrities"
"Were they all cast for the line-up last minute?"
What is your reaction to the issue?
I highly doubt the labels are responsible since groups like MONSTA X have been to the US many many MANY times before.

KAMP is seriously the Dashcon, Tanacon, and practically Fyre Festival of K-pop events.
